
QC BRIDGE Post-Doctoral Fellowship
- FQCI invites innovative, technically rich project proposals from the motivated research scholars for QC BRIDGE Post-Doctoral Fellowship (QC BRIDGE PDF) in the board areas of Quantum Computing Technologies.
- QC BRIDGE PDF is an initiative of the FQCI established by the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, under the National Quantum Mission, led by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India.
- QC BRIDGE PDF aims to support motivated young researchers in conducting high-impact research in Quantum Computing Technologies and Applications.
- The fellowship program encourages deep scientific inquiry, the development of novel quantum technologies, and problem-solving in collaboration with industry. Fellows will be mentored to become independent researchers and technology leaders.
Eligibility Criteria
- The applicant should be PhD scholar with PhD Degree from CFTIs or UGC/AICTE approved Indian universities/engineering institutes with less than 2 years of work-experience post PhD or Research Scholars having submitted their PhD thesis at the time application submission and awaiting examination.
- The applicant should have research experience in the subjects related to Quantum Computing Technologies and applications, with publications in reputed journals and conferences, patents, involvement in laboratory/course development and other recognized relevant professional activities.
- The applicant should be preferably below 32 years of age.
- The applicant should not be in receipt of any other fellowship from Government sources.
Support
- Fellowship: ₹1,00,000 per month + HRA, as per the host institute's norms
- Recurring Contingency Grant to support research activities: ₹2,00,000 per annum
- Note: Candidates availing hostel or institute accommodation will not be eligible for HRA.
Duration and Workplace
- The initial tenure of the fellowship is 1 year, extendable up to 2 additional years, based on: Performance reviews; Quality of research outputs (e.g., high-impact publications, patents); Technology commercialization potential; Startup or innovation outcomes. Periodic evaluations will determine eligibility for extension.
- The fellow will be hosted at the institute/college of the identified faculty mentor. The research will be carried out under their guidance, leveraging institutional infrastructure and collaborative networks.

- Selection will be based on technical merit and candidate’s demonstrated capabilities through research outputs.
