Administrative Assistant

Applications are invited for one Administrative Assistant position under the National Quantum Mission (DST) at the NQM-QuMaC Lab, TIFR Mumbai. The role involves supporting the NQM team with administrative tasks including procurement, travel coordination, and documentation.

Adminstrative Assistant/Accountant

We are looking for a Finance Officer with experience in cost and financial accounting, auditing, and strong interpersonal skills. A master’s degree in finance is preferred. The role includes maintaining up-to-date financial records for FQCI and providing timely reports to the CFO and CEO. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, test, and optimize new fabrication process flows and recipes
  • Provide process support, resolve and improve process/system/productivity, and develop processes of new applications
  • Design and conduct experiments, collect data, analyze results, generate reports, and provide recommendations to optimize process modules
  • Partner with customers to meet requirements for new technology process, to support existing processes
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to understand their needs, process flow, requirements, and business challenges
  • Recommends design changes to key technical solutions, and process development, and monitors performance trends
  • Develop SOPs
  • Supports User training for novel materials and device fabrication

Required Qualifications:

  • Master of Science/ Engineering with 2+ years of relevant work experience; or Bachelors of Science/ Engineering with 4+ years of work experience
  • Excellent communication, written and verbal, and customer relationship skills
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment, or cleanroom suit
  • Prior experience in semiconductor manufacturing or process/yield engineering is mandatory
  • Remuneration: To be discussed based on candidate’s qualification & experience
  • Tenure: Initially, for a period of one year, to be extended based on performance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform clean room fabrication processes such as lithography, thin-film deposition, etching and device patterning
  • Familiarity with metrology tools (SEM, CD-SEM, AFM, ellipsometry, etc.,)
  • Develop, test, and optimize fabrication process flows and recipes
  • Conduct repeated trials and refine parameters to achieve improved device yield and performance
  • Maintain detailed logs of fabrication parameters, results, and characterisation data
  • Prepare device samples, operate critical fabrication tools, and assist in troubleshooting
  • Execute preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance to ensure maximum tool uptime

Required Qualifications:

  • M.Sc. or B.Tech. in: Physics / Chemistry / Materials Science / Nanotechnology / Electronics / related fields
  • Prior experience with clean room tools or micro/nanofabrication (desirable but not mandatory)
  • Strong technical aptitude, willingness to learn fabrication processes, and interest in hands-on experimental work
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment, or cleanroom suit
  • Remuneration: To be discussed based on candidate’s qualification & experience
  • Tenure: Initially, for a period of one year, to be extended based on performance

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handles preventive and corrective maintenance of fabrication facility tools and ensure zero downtime
  • Calibration and reliability checking of tools
  • Maintain detailed service reports, maintenance logs, and documentation associated to fab

Required Qualifications:

  • Diploma / Bachelor’s in Mechanical / Electrical/ Facilities Engineering or related fields
  • 1-2 year of experience in cleanroom operations, semiconductor fabrication facilities
  • Ability to work in a cleanroom environment, wearing personal protective safety equipment, or cleanroom suit
  • Prior experience with clean room tools or micro/nanofabrication (desirable but not mandatory)
  • Remuneration: To be discussed based on candidate’s qualification & experience
