About National Quantum Mission
The National Quantum Mission (NQM) is a flagship initiative of the Government of India, implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), to establish India as a global leader in quantum technologies. With an outlay of ₹6,003.65 crore for the period 2023–2031, the Mission aims to accelerate scientific research, indigenous technology development, innovation, and commercialization across quantum computing, quantum communication, quantum sensing & metrology, and quantum materials & devices.
Through a network of Thematic Hubs, academic institutions, industry, startups, and strategic partners, NQM is building a robust national ecosystem to drive next-generation technologies, strengthen technological self-reliance, and create a skilled quantum workforce for the future.
ABOUT FQCI
Foundation for QC Innovation (FQCI) has been set up as a Section-8 company (not-for-profit) by Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru, under the NQM, implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India.
The Foundation for QC Innovation, a Quantum Computing Thematic Hub (QC T-Hub), is instrumental in establishing India as a global leader in quantum technologies.
It drives innovation, builds essential infrastructure, and nurtures a highly skilled talent pool to advance the nation’s quantum ecosystem.
