Workshop on Quantum Algorithms: 13 February 2026

  • I-HUB Quantum Technology Foundation at the IISER Pune (member institute of FQCI), organized an in-campus Workshop on Quantum Algorithms on 13 February 2026.
  • The workshop introduced quantum algorithms to PhD students, post-doctoral fellows, and industry researchers working in or planning to work in quantum computing and its applications.
  • The workshop was conducted under the National Quantum Mission, implemented by the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India, as part of the national effort to build capacity and strengthen skills in quantum computing technologies.
  • The workshop engaged 40 participants in an intensive program combining fundamental concepts, advanced algorithms, and hands-on implementation sessions, where participants were introduced to key topics including quantum advantage, prime factorization algorithms, Variational Quantum Eigensolver (VQE), HHL algorithms, and quantum machine learning approaches such as quantum principal component analysis.
