PRAGATI Q-FOUNDRY 2026 | 29–30 September 2026

PRAGATI Q-FOUNDRY 2026 brought together over 1,000 participants, including researchers, startups, investors, industry leaders, government representatives and strategic users, to accelerate the transition of quantum research into real-world applications and commercial opportunities.

Organised under the National Quantum Mission (NQM), supported by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, the event showcased India’s progress in quantum technology development, entrepreneurship and industry collaboration.

Key Highlights

  • From Lab to Market: Panel discussions and Quantum Technology Expo demonstrations connected innovators with industry representatives, investors and prospective users, highlighting pathways to commercialisation and adoption.
  • Startup Growth: The announcement of nine additional startups increased the number of NQM-supported startups from 17 to 26, expanding India’s quantum technology startup ecosystem.
  • Technology Showcase: Ten flagship quantum technologies were launched, alongside the release of the Technology Compendium covering the four thematic areas of NQM: Quantum Computing, Quantum Communication, Quantum Sensing and Metrology, and Quantum Materials and Devices.
  • Talent Development: The inauguration of 23 Quantum Undergraduate Teaching Labs strengthened efforts to expand hands-on quantum education and develop a skilled workforce.
  • Strategic Partnerships: The Foundation for QC Innovation (FQCI) and the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly advance the objectives of NQM. Partnerships involving the NQM hubs and the Department of Information Technology & Communication (DOIT&C), Government of Rajasthan, also focused on strengthening quantum capabilities.
  • The event highlighted the need for a comprehensive support system for quantum startups, extending beyond funding to include technology validation, industry partnerships, procurement opportunities and market access. Collaboration among academia, industry, startups, investors and government agencies will be crucial to translating research outcomes into viable products and deployable solutions.
